The (unofficial) Roger Zelazny Memorial Library - Catalogue

This brief overview serves as a listing of the Library’s physical contents, until such time as each item is individually displayed and blurbed somewhere or other within Shadow Guard. Perhaps I will even keep it here afterwards, for the lazy, or those pressed for time.

This is a working catalogue; many details of inventory items (such as hc/pb, condition, or number of copies) are not listed. – Jack

**Artwork**

“Great Wave off Kanagawa” – genuine hand-printed wood-block print, one of the 36 views of Mt. Fuji, by Hokusai. Arguably the most famous "ukiyo-e", or wood block print, ever to come from Japan, it is the most recognized work by Hokusai, the master of the genre. The print is framed and matted with wooden backing; I bought it in Kanagawa while stationed there with the US Army at Camp Zama. Refers, of course, to Zelazny's incongruently named short story, "24 Views of Mt. Fuji, by Hokusai".

**Magazines**

I am pleased to have accumulated many old 60’s pulps containing many of Roger’s stories from that era which were not anthologized (notable exceptions include New Worlds, Oct 67, which contains “The Last Inn on the Road”, although I do have the New Worlds anthology where it is reprinted). Now I have to find the post-1990 stories that suffered the same fate…argh…

From Quarks to the Cosmos, by Lederman/Schramm – A book on particle physics and astrophysics that only Corwin or myself could possibly care about. It was the text for Philosophy 560, Advanced Topics in Metaphysics, Special Topics: The Macrocosm and the Microcosm – The Relevance of Particle Physics and Astrophysics to Metaphysics. It was the only class in which I got an “A” that year.
